Link to New Resource for Dealing with the Psychological Issues of Diabetes

Today I added an excellent and unique relatively new resource to my links under the category of diabetes education and support - Behavioral Diabetes Institute (BDI) (www.behavioraldiabetes.org). If you have diabetes or know someone with diabetes you know all too well that support - in the area of psychological support - is a huge unmet need. Behavioral Diabetes Institute, under the able leadership of Dr. William Polonsky, is the first online resource to tackle this need. Dr. Polonsky has and continues to be a leader in the field of the psychological issues of dealing with diabetes. He is the author of the groundbreaking book Diabetes Burnout: What to Do When You Can't Take It Anymore (American Diabetes Association). BDI is designed to help people overcome the emotional and behavioral obstacles to living well with diabetes. For starters I encourage you to check out a piece on BDI's site titled 10 things you should know about the behavioral side of diabetes. Then explore other areas of the web-site.
